Letty Naranjo, Executive Director. Letty has a BA and MA coursework in Sociology (Race/Ethnic Relations) from New Mexico State University. She has worked in higher education for 25 years, and is a national site reviewer for accreditation for ProLiteracy America. She is bilingual (Spanish/English), and has been the Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe since 1994.
Chrys Chaparro, Office Administrator. Chrys has over 30 years’ experience as an Executive Secretary/Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, primarily in the non-profit and educational fields. Prior employment included the position of Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Student Affairs at Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, California.
Roxie Daggett is in charge of the English as a Second Language Program. She holds a BA in English from the University of Puget Sound and a teaching certificate from Pacific Lutheran University with endorsements in English/Language Arts and ESL. She worked for seven years in the K-12 public school systems in Washington and California teaching Language Arts and ESL. She has worked as an ESL teacher, EL/Civics Specialist, and Basic Literacy Coordinator.
Kevan Morshed is in charge of our Basic Literacy Program and helps write grants for LVSF. Kevan worked as both a tutor and a literacy coordinator for the non-profit, CentroNia, for 5 years in Washington D.C. He also taught literacy, literature, journalism and French. He studied French and Economics at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. and recently completed his master’s degree in Liberal Arts at St. John’s College in Santa Fe.
