Citizenship Ceremony on SFCC Campus

On Friday, June 21, there will be a citizenship ceremony in the courtyard of the Santa Fe Community College at 11 a.m. SFCC and Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe are co-hosts of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services administrative naturalization ceremony. Thirty-six applicants, including two students of the LVSF citizenship tutoring program, will be taking their oaths and becoming US citizens. If you’ve never attended the citizenship oath ceremony, you can’t imagine how beautiful, exciting, and moving this event is. Even if you don’t know any of the applicants, it’s worth attending. The event is free and open to the public. Help us welcome these new citizens and celebrate their achievements!

Plaza Cafe Southside (in the Lowe’s/Regal shopping center) is helping with the celebration by offering a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of a meal, from 12:30 – 8 pm on June 21. You can print out the flyer shown here. Plaza Cafe Southside will be donating a percentage of your bill to the citizenship tutoring program of LVSF. We hope you’ll enjoy a great meal and support us at the same time!
