June News for Literacy Volunteers of Santa Fe
Welcoming Our New BL Coordinator
We are thrilled to welcome Mary DuBose as our new Basic Literacy (BL) Coordinator. We look forward to the experience, expertise, and passion she brings to the Literacy Volunteers team.
Staffing News
The Basic Literacy Coordinator position was filled in May by Mary DuBose, who previously served as the Workplace Literacy Specialist. As a result, the Workplace Literacy Specialist position is currently vacant. In addition, the Administrative Assistant position became vacant at the end of May following the incumbent’s resignation due to health reasons.
Volunteer Appreciation
A heartfelt thank you to Mary Lou and Bill Jackson for their incredible work running the LVSF ESL Tutoring Lab since June 2023. Their dedication has helped countless students from diverse backgrounds reach new levels of English proficiency. While we will miss seeing them regularly on the SFCC campus, we are happy to share that they will continue tutoring our workplace ESL group.
